White Sands National Monument

There is a scenic drive through the dunefield, with trails, a couple picnic areas and dunes where visitors can toboggan. Petroglyphs
A 10 minute walk from the entrance to the ranch leads to a small hill of rocks where some well kept petroglyphs can be found. There are sites like this all through the Chihuahuan desert.
