Camper Van

After much back & forth, we decided to once again sell our RV and downsize to a similar, but smaller RV.   The Class C was still a tad too wide and tall for our type of camping & we had too many quirky problems and no warranty. Going new gives us all the latest safety features and good warranty – since we plan to drive months at a time we determined the cost to be worth it. We were able to negotiate a good trade for our current RV and secured a new one that a buyer had ordered but then cancelled.  With RV sales booming, most wait times are 2 years for new models, so we were lucky on the timing of that call to Sunwest RV. On June 18, 2021 we picked up our new RV.  A 2021.5 PW Plateau FL (meaning Front Lounge – gives us the option of leaving the bed made while still having a dining/work area in the front).  After a few days of doing the storage puzzle game we were able to fit all the essentials and found that, despite being a smaller unit, we have room for all the stuff we need & a little to spare.

Our shakedown trip was a campground called Cluxewe which is about 4 hours from home, near Port McNeil.  She drove like a dream once we got used to her and we were sooo happy on outings to be able to fit in regular parking spaces.

We are planning our big trip in a few weeks and will be heading to Ontario to see the girls and lots of friends and family.  Can’t wait……….
