KM 4355 Canmore, Alberta

On our way to meet up with friend Moe and Paul who happen to be house hunting in the BC Rockies Kimberly area, we stop for the night in Canmore AB.

We choose to stay at an RV park at the edge of town called Spring Creek Mountain Village for 2 nights and we are given a site at the end of a row.  It turns out to be beside a run-down trailer park, an in addition there is a large construction project of condos and townhomes all around.   We find out as well that the advertised wi-fi does not work.   We are finding this is a common problem in a lot of RV parks – Very frustrating.   At least we have full hook-ups and can do our laundry.

A walk around town reveals areas of upscale vacation homes and smaller older family homes.   The town has a main shopping area of boutiques and cafes which is very nicely done.   There is a great walking trail with boardwalks and great signage all around the town and into the hills.   We walk the trail along the creek and river and are impressed with how pretty it is.   At the end of our walk we stop to watch a football game for a few minutes, there is a good crowd in attendance.  The town has a nice vibe and being at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains it is in a good location as well.
